Must read

A seemingly trivial incident in Mumbai’s Byculla area escalated into a serious case of violence, leading to multiple arrests.

What began as a car splashing muddy water onto a pedestrian quickly spiraled into a heated argument and eventually a physical assault.

From Apology to Assault

The incident took place around 9 PM on Saturday when a man driving home accidentally drove through a pothole, causing dirty water to splash onto another individual standing nearby.

The driver reportedly stopped immediately and apologized, but the situation took a hostile turn.

According to reports, the pedestrian reacted aggressively—allegedly hurling abuses, damaging the car’s windshield with a bamboo stick, and physically attacking the driver.

Clash Escalates, Multiple Injured

The confrontation didn’t end there. As the driver and his family were heading to the police station, they encountered the opposing group again, reigniting the conflict. The situation escalated into a full-blown street fight.

Police say that among those involved were relatives of TMC MP Yusuf Pathan, including his father-in-law Khalid Khan, brother-in-law Umershad Khan, and another relative.

They are accused of attacking the victims with sticks and a baseball bat.

Several people sustained injuries in the clash, including one person who suffered a fractured arm, while another was seriously hurt.

Arrests Made, Investigation Ongoing

Mumbai Police acted swiftly, arresting three individuals in connection with the case, while one आरोपी remains absconding.

The arrested accused have been remanded to judicial custody until May 2.

Meanwhile, the defense has claimed that the incident was not one-sided, arguing that both groups were involved in the violence.

Authorities are currently examining CCTV footage, witness statements, and other evidence to determine the sequence of events.

The case is now under legal scrutiny, and further investigation is underway.
