VHP Calls It an Attack on Faith

VHP has termed the alleged use of animal fat in the Tirupati laddus as an “intolerable” act, stating that it is an affront to the faith and religion of Hindus. They have demanded that the Andhra Pradesh government relinquish control of all Hindu temples and places of worship to the Hindu community.

VHP’s Demands and Concerns

VHP’s International General Secretary, Bajrang Bagda, has urged that all temples across the country, along with other Hindu places of worship, should be handed over to the Hindu community. They want the government to release these sites from its control. Furthermore, he has demanded strict action against those involved in defiling the Tirupati Prasadam.

In a video statement, Bagda said, “This incident at Tirupati has further strengthened VHP’s belief that government control over temples leads to political interference. Non-Hindus are deliberately appointed in government-controlled temples, and such individuals engage in acts that corrupt religious practices.”

Long-Standing Demand for Temple Autonomy

Bajrang Bagda emphasized that the VHP has long been advocating for Hindu temples and religious sites to be freed from government control. He condemned the alleged incident at Tirupati as “unacceptable and a disgraceful act” and warned that the Hindu community would not tolerate such attacks on their faith.

Andhra Pradesh Government to Consider the Matter Seriously

Bagda expressed confidence that both the Andhra Pradesh state government and the central government would recognize the gravity of the situation and give it due consideration. He also demanded a fair investigation into the Tirupati Laddu controversy and called for strict punishment for those responsible.
